The company operates oil tankers, including very large crude carriers(VLCCs) for the transport of crude oil and petroleum products; chemical tankers to transport liquid cargoes, such as petrochemical products, methanol, sulfuric acid, vegetable oil, ethanol, and lubricating oils; fleet of large gas carriers that transport liquefied gases comprising liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and liquefied natural gas(LNG); medium and small gas carriers to transport LPG, vinyl chloride monomer(VCM), propylene; and dry bulk carriers to transport coal for electric power generation, coking coal, grains, wood chips for paper production, fertilizers, wood biomass fuel, and construction materials. It also offers real estate service; hall and conference center management; and shipping agency services. In addition, the company provides photography studios and support for advertisers and magazine publishers. Further, it operates various vessels, including LPG, ethylene, LNG, and molten sulfur carriers. The company was founded in 1899 and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.
