It operates through the Coating, Paint, Electronic Materials, Chemical Products, and Synthetic Resins segments. The company provides plastic coatings for automotive interior, exterior, and lighting parts; cosmetic containers, PE tubes, film applications, and electronic devices, as well as general-purpose coatings, including hard coats, vapor-deposited coatings, and soft coatings for a variety of applications. It also offers architectural coatings, such as febriller, a metallic coating; Lapis Grande, a matte multicolor coating; and Sinagio SG, a matte enamel coating. In addition, the company provides polymers and resin materials that include pressure-sensitive adhesives, functional particles, materials for photocopiers and printers, firing binders, urethane resins, and block polymers, as well as raw materials for diagnostic reagents comprising plain and carboxy-modified latex particles and fluorescent and magnetic particles used in the medical field. Further, it offers conductive resin materials, including electrically conductive adhesives; circuitry, electrode, and connector materials for PCBs; materials for printed electronics; circuitry and insulating paste materials for touch panels; room temperature drying materials; and EMI shield materials under the DOTITE brand. The company was formerly known as Fujikura Kagaku Mfg. Co., Ltd. and changed its name to Fujikura Kasei Co., Ltd. in December 1958. Fujikura Kasei Co., Ltd. was incorporated in 1938 and is headquartered in Minato, Japan.
