Kuraray Co., Ltd. engages in the production and sale of resins, chemicals, fibers, activated carbon, and high-performance membranes and systems worldwide. The Vinyl Acetate segment offers Poval resins and films, PVB resins and films, EVAL resins, etc. The Isoprene segment provides thermoplastic elastomers under SEPTON name, isoprene, heat-resistant polyamide resins under GENESTAR name, etc. The Functional Materials segment offers methacrylic resins, medical products, carbon materials, etc.; and engages in aqua business. The Fibers segment provides Vinylon, Clarino artificial leather, Kuraflex dry nonwoven fabrics, Magic tape hook-and-loop fasteners, polyesters, etc. The Trading segment produces and sells synthetic fibers and artificial leather, etc. It is also involved in the engineering business; design and construction of various plants; provision of logistics services; personnel dispatch and placement services; design, manufacture, construction, and sale of water treatment facilities; travel and insurance agency business; golf course management; management of accommodation and food facilities; manufacture and sale of dental materials; warehousing and logistics; as well as provides consulting services. The company was incorporated in 1926 and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.
