Katakura Industries Co.,Ltd., together with its subsidiaries, engages in the textiles, pharmaceuticals, machinery, real estate, and other businesses in Japan. The company offers undergarments, hosiery products, aprons, casual wear, and relaxing garments; and various functional fibers, such as the water-soluble fiber solvron and NITIVY ALF thermal resistant fibers, as well as licenses David Hicks products. It also provides pharmaceuticals for treating cardiovascular illnesses comprising Frandol for the treatment of angina pectoris; Frandol tape, a heart medicine; and Bisono tape, a β1 blocker. In addition, the company offers fire pump trucks and firefighting equipment and vehicles comprising articulating boom fire trucks, water tankers, airport crash tenders, and light pumper trucks; and agriculture-related products, Japanese honey, general building maintenance and management, and flower/tree planting services, as well as operates plant and pet specialty shops. Further, it engages in the management of commercial facilities; real estate leasing; development and use of company-owned lands; crossbreeding honeybees; and cleaning business. The company was formerly known as Katakura Silk Spinning Co., Ltd. and changed its name to Katakura Industries Co.,Ltd. in November 1943. Katakura Industries Co.,Ltd. was founded in 1873 and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.
