Sabvest Capital Limited is a private equity and venture capital firm specializing in early venture, mid venture, late venture, emerging growth, growth capital, special situation and management buyouts. It seeks to invest equity interests in listed and unlisted companies. It usually invests in companies where key management has meaningful interests or in family managed businesses. The firm does not invest in stage one, start-up or greenfield investments, and turnarounds and is also unlikely to make new investments that exceed 15% of its portfolio or 25% of shareholders’ equity. It seeks to invest in companies operating in the information technology, industrial, media, retail, trading, services, financial and distribution industries. The firm seeks to invest in businesses in South Africa, the United Kingdom, and Europe. The firm invests in portfolio companies with equity stakes between 10% and 40%. It usually invests in companies where key management has meaningful interests or in family managed businesses. The firm may hold majority or joint controlling interests but without direct management responsibility. The firm does not acquire a board seat in case of majority investments and favors large minority stakes in unlisted companies.
