Haycarb PLC, together with its subsidiaries, manufactures and sells coconut shell activated carbon in Sri Lanka and internationally. It operates in two segments, Activated Carbon and Environmental Engineering. The Activated Carbon segment provides solutions to renewable and potable water, industrial water treatment, industrial air and gas treatment, personal protection, solvent recovery, petroleum and gas, precious metal, food and beverage, automotive, energy storage, nuclear, cigarette filter, medical and pharmaceutical, catalyst support, and chemical sectors. The Environmental Engineering segment is involved in the water and wastewater purification activities; and operation and maintenance services, as well as the provision of hydrocove water purifiers; value added activated carbon products; and Dupont Film Tech RO, and UF and NF membranes. The company was incorporated in 1973 and is headquartered in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Haycarb PLC is a subsidiary of Hayleys PLC.
